Cat Behind the Cake
Cat and the Fiddle is the brain child of Chef Danial Tay, one of the most popular names in luxury desserts in Singapore. Chef Tay is classically trained in French pastry arts and has worked for the legendary gourmet food retailer Fauchon of Paris. In Singapore, he also served as the Pastry Chef of the famed gastronomic French restaurant, Les Amis.
While his skills have garnered him numerous accolades including a Pastry Chef of the Year (2001) and World Pastry Cup Gold Medal (1996), we love his sense of humour which shines through in the Cat and the Fiddle brand. After all if you’re making cheesecake, you need to have a little cheese in you too.

Cat and the Fiddle has a total of 15 cheesecake flavours but only seven of them are available here in Malaysia. These include:
- Over the Moon: A New York cheesecake defined by cream cheese with vanilla beans and a delicious golden crust (RM99). Can’t really go wrong with this classic.
- Queen of Hearts: A cheesecake topped with a thick layer of tart strawberry and raspberry puree (RM99).
