White Pomfret
The white pomfret or also known as silver pomfret is said that its flesh is a bit more flavourful and the fish is usually larger in size. The way to pick a good white pomfret, aside from the usual firmness of the fish and colour of the gills is to give the gill covers behind the eye a little squeeze.  With the good ones, you will get a bit of pastel orange fluid coming out behind the gill covers.

Ikan bawal putih ialah sejenis ikan yang kaya dengan rasa dan kebiasaanya, ia mempunyai saiz yang besar. Cara untuk memilih ikan bawal putih selain menitik berat tekstur dan warnanya, ialah dengan perlahan lahan memicit mata ikan tersebut. Jika terdapat cecair jingga cair keluar daripada matanya,ia adalah salah satu ikan yang berkualiti.
