Finding a place to eat that will please daddy, mommy, and the kids is never an easy task. You can probably already imagine the tantrums children throw when they see a kids menu they don’t like. Daddy and mommy love their steak, while kids love their cheesy goodness.

Marmalade café caters to everyone – from daddy, mommy to their children. Not every child is up for getting their hands on greens, but Marmalade has no issue with that. The café, which was awarded the best healthy eating restaurant by Time Out KL in 2010 and 2011, allows families to enjoy a comforting, wholesome meal with a great kids menu to boot.

You don’t have to worry about them getting bored because you can lure them to the specially designed children’s area while waiting for your food to arrive. Kids will love their grilled cheese toasties soldiers which can be dunked in a roasted tomato dip while sipping on their fresh chocolate milk.

If you are craving for a salmon mentaiko sushi (which happens all time!), but your kid is not that fond of sushi, Sakae Sushi is your go-to place. As you dip your fresh sushi with a dollop of creamy mentaiko jeweled with Ebiko, the children can enjoy their own specially presented kid’s meals.

Old School will absolutely bring out the student in you. The non-halal café will take you back in your sweet memories of your school days, with its classroom and canteen interior design. Every counter in the café is stuffed with your favourite childhood snacks and toys.

You can even introduce your children to Bestman balloon and eyeglass chocolate candy which is rare to the present day. Along with that, kids can enjoy their tasty char siew fried rice served with octopus shaped sausages, corn salad and a cup of everyone’s favourite Milo drink.

The café features spaces where little ones can have fun. From wooden pits, playgrounds, kitchen sets and even a huge space for them to run around, there’s so much for kids to explore. Parents can eat their chewy Korean spicy rice cake with no worries as children play with their friends in the playground. The space is built for everyone who’s not only young physically but also young at heart. I guess this should apply to everyone then! While the coffee is for the real adults, the playground is for kids, and the bricks are for all! This is an amazing space for family time.

You can even play, rent and buy lego here which delivers a playful learning experience. When the kids are tired, they can have a treat of dark cherry crumbles with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It’s a quick escape to a Lego world in the midst of the busy city life.

The Workshop is the brainchild of a husband and wife who understands how hectic a food trip can be once you have a kid. Although finding this café can be a little tricky, the journey is absolutely worth it.

Children will be spoiled with the mini play gym corner with a slide, ball pit, and a trampoline! They can happily play away their meal time. Similarly, this cafe has a variety of meal options from mac and cheese to the tomato baked rice as well as a few options if you’re looking for a sweet treat afterward. From the utensils to the toilets, this space is super kid friendly!
